We’re looking for an Application Programming Interface Specialist to join Procore’s Integrations and Technical Services (InTech) org. In this role, you’ll serve as a Procore API expert and resource to our external developer community.
As an API Specialist, you’ll partner with Product and Technology (P&T), technical support, and Tech Services teams. Your purpose is to provide top-tier assistance to our partner and customer developer ecosystem. You will use your deep understanding of our suite of API endpoints and keen API skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues. This includes having the ability to quickly learn and integrate new technical skills and knowledge.
What you’ll do:
Provide technical support and consulting to clients, developers, and partners who are using the Procore API ecosystem, including testing, troubleshooting, and communicating back and forth with developers.
Utilize your API and integration subject matter expertise to effectively and efficiently respond to cases via a ticketing system.
Provide timely assistance in Slack to our Customer Success teams.
Manage technical and product issues and escalations related to our API endpoints and developer ecosystem.
Utilize development tools such as Postman to troubleshoot and resolve API issues. Familiarity with REST web services is necessary.
Develop training content, contribute to Knowledgebase articles, FAQs, our developer community site concerning Procore’s APIs and integrations.
Collaborate with Product Management to identify opportunities for improvement and feature requests to our APIs and marketplace ecosystem, helping to build, drive, and improve our tools, processes and developer experience.
What we’re looking for:
Bachelor's Degree or 3 years of equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a technical support, integration, or API-focused troubleshooting role.
Must have a development background.
Must have some client-facing experience (whether previous technology company or services industry). Most communication will be via Email, but phone conversations and internal/external meetings occur as well. You must be able to effectively express ideas and thoughts in writing and verbally.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. You should be able to take personal responsibility for resolving any issue and ensuring that the client has a positive outcome, working through hurdles and blockers.
Valuable resource amongst peers; great ability to ‘lean-in’ and support via phone, Slack, and Zoom.
Knowledge of Postman or scripting languages is highly desirable.
