We’re looking for a Software Engineer II- Frontend to join Procore’s Resource Management organization. In this role, you’ll contribute to building and enhancing modern web applications using React, while also supporting backend microservices built using Java with Spring Boot. Your primary goal will be to deliver high-quality, well-tested frontend features and contribute to system design and architecture under the guidance of experienced engineers.

This position reports intoSr. Engineering Manager and will be based in our Bangalore, India office. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately.

What you’ll do:

• Contribute as a hands-on member of the frontend team by delivering assigned tasks that support team goals.

• Independently complete well-scoped tasks and own end-to-end feature delivery in React.Collaborate with senior engineers on complex initiatives to expand technical expertise and professional skills.

• Investigate new problem areas, identify potential solutions, and seek guidance when appropriate.Design, develop, and maintain frontend applications using React, Typescript ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance.

• Support backend microservices built using Java with Spring Boot, collaborating closely with backend teams to deliver integrated solutions.

• Participate in system design discussions and help translate requirements into technical solutions.Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code using modern frontend technologies.

• Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback to improve code quality and consistency.Support teammates by taking ownership of routine work and assisting with team-level tasks as needed.

• Continuously learn new tools, frameworks, and workflows to improve individual and team effectiveness.Actively engage in establishing a strong and positive team culture.

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, completion of a coding bootcamp, or equivalent practical experience.

• 3+ years of professional software development experience, including internships, academic projects, or relevant hands-on work.

• Proficiency in React, Typescript with hands-on experience building frontend applications.Working knowledge of Java with Spring Boot for backend support is a plus.

• Basic knowledge of CI/CD tools such as CircleCI (or equivalent).Basic understanding of AWS and familiarity with deployment processes.

• Foundational understanding of Progress DB and RDBMS concepts, including basic querying and data modeling principles.Familiarity with microservice architecture patterns, REST APIs, and basic system design concepts.

• Familiarity with modern frontend development tools and source control systems such as Git.Understanding of core application development principles, including unit testing, debugging, and basic algorithmic complexity.

• Ability to quickly learn new technologies, tools, and frameworks and effectively apply feedback to improve performance.

• Strong communication skills, a collaborative team mindset, and a demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
