We’re looking for a Senior Tax Account to join Procore’s Tax team. In this role, you’ll support Procore’s tax operations, with a focus on managing and coordinating with tax services providers for corporate tax filings, tax compliance, tax provision and any other tax related projects.

The Senior Tax Accountant will work closely with the Tax team, senior management, and other personnel to help drive efficiency within the global tax function. You must be comfortable working in a high-growth environment and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management.

What you’ll do:

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes by preparing tax journal entries and reconciling tax general ledger accounts

  • Assist with monthly sales tax compliance by reviewing relevant sales tax reports and processing returns and/or payments

  • Support federal and state income tax returns compliance process and other tax projects

  • Coordinate and request payments for reoccurring and one-off tax filings 

  • Collaborate with multiple departments on obtaining required data for tax compliance, tax provision, etc. 

  • Participate in the preparation and/or review of quarterly and year-end tax provisions

  • Assist with the administration of federal and state tax audits, when applicable

  • Investigate and respond to notices from various taxing authorities

  • Research relevant tax issues and document conclusions

  • Support on-going tax projects and interact with various external tax providers

  • Manage other tax requirements including locality taxes, business license tax, property tax, etc.

  • Update and maintain tax calendar to ensure accurate and timely filings

  • Assist with ad-hoc projects, as needed

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline is required

  • 2 - 4 years of relevant experience 

  • Multi-national c-corporation tax experience 

  • Strong computer skills; proficiency in Excel, Microsoft 365, and Google Workspace programs

  • Strong technical research skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work effectively as a part of a team

  • Attention to detail while maintaining big picture awareness

  • Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Additional Information

Base Pay Range:

90,400.00 - 124,300.00 USD Annual

This role may also be eligible for Equity Compensation and/or Bonus Incentive Compensation. Procore is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate’s job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location.
