Senior Software Engineer

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer - Frontend to join our Customer Adoption team in Bangalore. This is a new team with a mission to develop intuitive, engaging, and high-performance user experiences that help customers achieve their outcomes with Procore’s products.

In this role, you’ll build modern, customer-facing applications that power Procore’s onboarding and adoption experience. You’ll work closely with Product, Design, Backend Engineering, and Data teams to create responsive, data-rich interfaces that simplify complex workflows and help customers derive value from our platform.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing and delivering scalable frontend applications, contributing to technical decisions, improving engineering quality, and mentoring teammates through collaboration and code reviews. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Software Engineering and will be based in our Bangalore, India office. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately.
 

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain modern frontend applications using React, Next.js, and TypeScript.

• Build intuitive, responsive, and performant user experiences that support customer onboarding and adoption workflows.

• Develop data-dense dashboards and rich user interfaces that present complex information clearly and efficiently.

• Build advanced search, filtering, sorting, and navigation experiences that enable users to quickly discover and manage large datasets.

• Develop conversational and chat-based user interfaces, including AI-powered workflows and real-time interactions.

• Build streaming user experiences that display real-time updates and progressively rendered content.

• Collaborate closely with backend engineers to integrate REST and GraphQL APIs into frontend applications.

• Optimize application performance, accessibility, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility.

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following modern frontend engineering best practices.

• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, sprint planning, and design sessions.

• Use AI-assisted development tools (such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar) to improve engineering productivity and code quality.

• Work closely with globally distributed engineering teams to deliver high-quality customer experiences.
   

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or comparable work experience.

• 4+ years of professional frontend software development experience.

• Strong hands-on experience building scalable web applications using React, Next.js, and TypeScript.

• Experience building data-intensive dashboards, analytics interfaces, or enterprise web applications that handle large volumes of information.

• Experience designing and implementing search, filtering, sorting, and navigation experiences for complex datasets.

• Experience building conversational or chat-based user interfaces, including AI-powered user experiences.

• Experience implementing real-time or streaming UI experiences using technologies such as WebSockets, Server-Sent Events (SSE), or similar approaches.

• Experience integrating frontend applications with REST and GraphQL APIs.

• Strong understanding of modern frontend architecture, component design, state management, performance optimization, and responsive design principles.

• Experience writing automated tests and maintaining high code quality through code reviews and best engineering practices.

• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, frontend build tools, and monitoring solutions.

• Comfortable using AI coding tools (such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar) as part of the software development lifecycle.

• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across globally distributed teams.

• Fluent in spoken and written English.
