We’re looking for an experienced “Senior Release Engineer” to join Procore’s Go-To-Market (GTM) Platform Team. The GTM Platform team is responsible for enhancing & securing the Salesforce Platform, managing deployments & Salesforce Orgs and Access Provisioning. We work in close partnership with our business partner in Sales, Service, Marketing, Support, ERP functions to help fuel growth and revenue goals for Procore, along with driving exceptional Customer and employee experiences.
This position reports into Sr Manager, GTM Platform Ops, India COE; and will be based in our Pune office. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately. This is a hybrid role and requires working 2-3 days from our Pune Office.
What You will do:
Manage release schedule in a SOX Compliant environment, to ensure timely deployments across all Salesforce projects & environments, using Copado.
Set up, monitor and maintain all Salesforce.com sandboxes, including creating and synchronizing sandbox metadata and appropriate data sets.
Define and implement a standardized deployment process, pipelines that deliver major releases, minor enhancements and patches.
Roll out the change control process for development, where quality is ensured and aligned to the organization’s SDLC process while still operating in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
Set and manage consistent deployment schedules, accounting for any dependencies and risks along the way while identifying issues to ensure they are not repeated.
Perform environment planning, provisioning, and management required to support the releases.
Develop and maintain documentation of the build/release process.
Define release readiness criteria and ensure all changes meet criteria prior to deployment.
Work with developers to properly resolve conflicts, deployment errors and meet code coverage.
Increase Automation, optimizing efficiency and quality of delivery, and improvements in the build/release process.
Proactively identify and mitigate risks and remove obstacles to release. Plan, manage, and socialize all release engineering activities.
Manage and implement the branching architecture, merging, rollback plans, etc.
What we are looking for:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field (or equivalent in experience).
5+ years of experience on deployment in the Salesforce platform, with a focus on DevOps (preferrably Copado), release management, and CI/CD implementation.
3+ years Experience in Salesforce platform (Configuration or Development) along with understanding of integration to/from Salesforce
Strong working knowledge of CI/CD tools (Copado, Gearset, Jenkins, etc.)
Experience in automation of repeated tasks and improving efficiency
Experience on an Agile Scrum project delivered under Continuous Delivery / DevOps is preferred.
Hands-on experience with Salesforce DX, Salesforce CLI, Metadata API, Apex, and Lightning Web Components & familiarity with Salesforce deployment models, including Change Sets, Unlocked/Managed Packages, and Metadata deployments.
Exposure to any test automation tools (e.g., AccelQ, PROVAR, CRT, TOSCA, Selenium, ApexUnit, JMeter) and code quality/security tools (e.g., SonarQube, PMD, Checkmarx).
Understanding of performance monitoring tools (Salesforce Event Monitoring, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Splunk).
