We are looking for a resilient, highly technical, and people-first Engineering Manager to lead our Authentication and Account Protection team in Bangalore.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Team Lead looking to step into their first or second formal management role, or an early-career manager looking to make a massive impact.
Established two years ago as part of our fast-growing India division, this close-knit team of 5 developers is responsible for safeguarding our users and building seamless, secure authentication experiences. We need a stabilizing force, a leader who brings empathy, consistency, and clear communication to build momentum and foster a high-trust culture.
You don’t just manage from a spreadsheet; you understand the architecture, can navigate codebases, and excel at driving execution while connecting your team’s daily output to the broader global business strategy.
What you’ll do: (6-8 bullets)
Stabilize & Nurture: Provide strong, empathetic, and consistent leadership to the team. Rebuild team morale, establish psychological safety, and clear daily roadblocks.
Mentorship: Coach and mentor engineers, helping them map out clear growth trajectories and ensuring high engagement.
360-Degree Communication: Translate complex technical concepts into clear updates for various audiences. You will confidently collaborate with
Developers on code implementation and sprint goals.
Architects on system design and structural integrity.
Product Managers on roadmaps, timelines, and feature scope.
UX Designers on designs and prototypes
Senior Leaders within the immediate organization on team health and strategic milestones.
Cross-Border Collaboration: Act as the vital bridge between the Bangalore team and US leadership, ensuring seamless alignment despite the time zones.
What we’re looking for: (6-8 bullets)
Education level: Bachelors or equivalent in Computer Engineering or related field
Minimum years of experience: 10-12 years of Software Development Experience
Leadership Experience:
Proven track record as a Team Lead or an early-career Engineering Manager looking to take the next step.
Technical Skills:
Strong foundational understanding of MVC architecture. Ability to dive into codebases and confidently interpret logic across varying frameworks.
Practical, hands-on experience using modern AI tools and trends in your daily management or engineering workflows.
Prior experience or familiarity with Identity & Access Management (IAM), Authentication protocols (OAuth, OIDC, SAML), or Account Protection/Fraud mitigation capabilities.
Familiarity or prior experience with Ruby on Rails is a significant plus.
Soft Skills:
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to interface effectively with developers, architects, Product Managers, and senior leadership.
Prior experience working within a global Multi-National Corporation (MNC), with a strong comfort level navigating cross-cultural dynamics.
Willingness and availability to attend India evening meetings most days to ensure smooth overlap with US stakeholders.
A "get-things-done" mindset with a demonstrated ability to turn high-level strategy into concrete, measurable engineering goals.
