We’re looking for a FedRAMP Security Operations Engineer to join Procore’s Product & Technology Team. The FedRAMP Security Operations Engineer will join Procore’s Cyber Fusion team. In this role, you’ll help ensure the security, compliance, and operational readiness of our FedRAMP-authorized environments. You’ll play a critical part in monitoring, triaging, and responding to security events with a focus on meeting the high standards of FedRAMP compliance.

As a FedRAMP Security Operations Engineer, you’ll partner with Detection Engineering, Incident Response, Cloud Infrastructure, and Compliance teams to triage alerts, investigate incidents, and drive operational improvements across our FedRAMP systems. Use your technical expertise in security operations, knowledge of FedRAMP controls, and strong collaboration skills to protect critical environments and support customer trust. This position reports into the Sr. Manager, Security Operations and will be based in our Austin, TX office. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately.

What you’ll do:

  • Monitor, triage, and respond to security alerts and incidents within Procore’s FedRAMP environment.

  • Investigate suspicious activity, validate detections, and support root cause analysis and incident remediation.

  • Operate and administer Runtime Security capabilities ensuring proper configuration, tuning, and integration.

  • Collaborate with Cloud Engineering and DevOps teams to improve the security posture of FedRAMP systems.

  • Maintain documentation and evidence for continuous monitoring and audit readiness.

  • Participate in FedRAMP-specific incident response and reporting, ensuring timely and accurate communication.

  • Support the tuning and development of alerts and playbooks aligned to FedRAMP requirements.

  • Assist with audit preparation and ongoing FedRAMP compliance activities.

  • Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve operational efficiency and consistency.

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 5+ years of experience in Security Operations, Incident Response, or a similar role.

  • Experience working in or supporting FedRAMP, DoD, or other regulated environments.

  • Strong understanding of SIEM tools, alert triage, and investigation processes.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and modern DevSecOps practices.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and compliance-focused teams.

  • Security certifications such as Security+, GCIH, GCIA, or similar are preferred.

  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Information

Base Pay Range $140,960 - $193,820. Eligible for Bonus Incentive Compensation. Procore is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation, and has provided an estimated pay range for this role. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate’s job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location.
