Job Description

We’re looking for a Director, User Research to join Procore’s Product Design team.

 

As a Director, User Research, you will be accountable for the research strategy and execution that informs Procore's end-to-end experiences. You'll lead a talented research team and work with other cross-functional teams to gather, synthesize and distribute customer insights to help inform and design industry-leading customer experiences. You’ll be deeply connected with and motivated by our vision to improve the lives of everyone in construction.

 

This position will report to our VP of Design and will be based in our Austin, Texas office. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Lead a team of talented researchers and research operations specialists.

  • Create and manage research roadmaps.

  • Develop research plans to inform and validate our product vision.

  • Gather and analyze qualitative and quantitative insights to inform experience decisions.

  • Collaborate with key leaders to develop and prioritize business objectives and key results.

  • Be a strong advocate for customer-centered design.

  • Oversee our customer experience metrics.

  • Be a strong advocate for the voice of our customers.

 

What we’re looking for:

  • 8+ years of experience researching, building and delivering successful B2B and/or consumer products at scale.
  • Prior user research management experience in a collaborative environment, with a track record of managing effective user research teams.

  • Ability to fluently communicate between business and research, setting meaningful goals and objectives for your team, while advocating for key research and design decisions to company leadership.

  • Proven track record of leveraging analytics to inform decisions and validate hypotheses.

  • Demonstrated ability to recognize and inspire excellence in design and research work among team members with strong servant leadership qualities, fostering team autonomy and engagement.

  • Deep understanding of user-centric problem-solving, design thinking, and full-cycle product development.

  • Proficient with modern design and research tools.

Additional Information

Base Pay Range $233,360 - $320,870. Eligible for Bonus Incentive Compensation. Procore is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation, and has provided an estimated pay range for this role. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate’s job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location.
