Over the past couple of years, the world of work has rapidly evolved, fueled by the pandemic and millions of workers reevaluating their expectations from employers. Building a strong company culture that enables our employees to feel valued both in and out of work has never been more important. We are honored to be named among the winners of the annual Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Awards as one of the Best Places to Work in 2022. This annual ranking captures insight from employees, past and present, who provide feedback about their job, work environment, and employer over the past year.
Culture has been a priority since the day we founded Procore roughly 20 years ago. As a founder, few things have made me more proud than the positive feedback and recognition we’ve received for the incredible culture our team has built together. And making Glassdoor’s “Best Places to Work” list this year carries extra weight for a couple of important reasons.
First, it demonstrates that we have maintained our unique and values-driven culture as Procore scales. This is one of the hardest things to nail as a hyper-growth company. What makes a culture great at 100 employees is simply not what makes it great at 1000, or 3000 employees. Culture is not static. Recognizing that culture is a continuous evolution, and that our employees are the ones who cultivate it every day, has been key to enabling Procore to scale its culture with its growth. And while this award may be U.S. focused, our culture is not. What I love is that no matter where you are in the world, if you step into an office, it feels like Procore.
Even as we’ve grown, we’ve continued to hire, train, and retain our talent according to our values. No matter the speed at which we’ve hired, we’ve never sacrificed our commitment to our values of openness, ownership, and optimism.
This means we now have thousands of employees committed to Procore’s vision of improving the lives of everyone in construction. Our teams have a deep appreciation for the work the construction industry does, and they go above and beyond to support it. Empathy is one of the key traits we value in our employees, and it shows. The folks who make up this company have empathy and respect for the end customer they serve, and for their fellow Procorians.
The second reason this year’s ranking carries extra weight in my mind is that it recognizes that Procore’s culture has not only survived but continued to thrive amid a global pandemic where we’ve all been forced to work apart from one another. This is a testament to each and every employee at Procore who continues to show up for their teammates every day.
Thank you to all of our employees for making Procore what it is today. I’m grateful to be working alongside all of you.
