Job Description

We’re looking for a Manager, Software Engineering - Developer Journeys to join Procore’s Product & Technology Team. In this Engineering Manager role, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the velocity, efficiency, and productivity of our engineering teams.

 

You’ll join our highly collaborative Product and Engineering organization to drive the technical direction of these projects, leading a team of highly skilled engineers to innovate and promote coordinated technology adoption across Procore’s technology stack. This position requires a leader with developer productivity experience to achieve high velocity without compromising on quality in this critical functional domain.

This position reports to the Sr. Manager of Engineering and is located in our Austin, Texas office. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately.
 

What you’ll do:

  • Lead, hire, manage, and develop high-performing teams focused on improving development efficiency and streamlining workflows.

  • Analyze engineering processes and identify areas for improvement.

  • Track key metrics related to developer excellence and productivity and report on progress and impact.

  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the engineering organization.

  • Manage and maintain developer journey frameworks and tooling for optimal performance.

  • Conduct performance reviews and career development planning for team members.

  • Foster collaboration between the Developer Journeys team and other engineering teams.

  • Manage delivery of features using agile and scrum methodologies including all the ceremonies

 

What we're looking for: 

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, including experience managing software engineering teams

  • Proven track record of identifying and implementing solutions to improve engineering efficiency.

  • Proficiency in SDLC process using agile methodologies including all ceremonies.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to coach, provide mentorship and guidance that aids team growth and development

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

  • Experience with developer tooling and infrastructure is a plus.

Additional Information

Base Pay Range $168,560 - $231,770. Eligible for Bonus Incentive Compensation. Procore is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation, and has provided an estimated pay range for this role. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate’s job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location.
