Intern, DevOps Engineer

Job Description

As a DevOps Engineer Intern on one of the P&T(Product & Technology) teams, you will be a core member focused on delivering new platform/infrastructure features, fixing defects, and contributing to planning upcoming work. In this role, you'll join our highly collaborative Product and Engineering organization to drive the technical direction of our projects.

This position will report to the Engineering Manager on one of our P&T teams and will be based in the Cairo, Egypt office. We're looking for someone to join our team in Summer 2024.

What you'll do:

• Implement new infrastructure features based on the product roadmap
• Fixing existing and newly reported defects
• Collaborate with the team to get the work done
• Follow the team processes, attend team meetings, and meet delivery expectations
• Participate in designing and brainstorming solutions for the upcoming work
• Learn from other engineers and gain hands-on experience

What we're looking for:

• Currently attending Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related college major
• Ability to understand our development and design principles (Procore has various tech stacks)
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Strong understanding of DevOps concept and methodology
• Familiarity with DevOps stack technology such as; Cloud technology, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, GIT, and Jenkins tools
• A curious mind that is driven to innovate and solve customer problems
• Empathy for users and the ability to understand user pain points
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills – both written and verbal
• Ability to evaluate complex problems and arrive at a resolution
