That’s why we’re looking for a talented Frontend Software Engineer II to join Procore’s journey to revolutionize a historically underserved industry.

As a Frontend Software Engineer II in the Financials division, you will join a team of engineers and partner with other teams to develop and deliver a customized workflow platform solution for our customers. This platform will be leveraged by teams across Procore to allow our customers to run highly customizable business processes inside the Procore application. If you have a curious mind and proven experience developing complex solutions to difficult problems—we have a spot for you on our team.

This position will report to our Manager, Software Engineering, Workflows. The position will be located in Pune, India. We’re looking for candidates to join our team immediately!

What you’ll do:

• Focus on the development of our Workflows platform service for Procore.
• Participate in designing and building a system that is aligned with Procore’s technical vision of a service-oriented architecture
• Write a highly performant code that minimizes payload size and deferred scripts while consuming the lowest possible amount of browser resources
• Create, maintain, and contribute to a custom framework and component library built in React
• Develop fellow teammates by conducting code reviews, providing mentorship, pairing, and training opportunities
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and UX to design and build solutions that delight users and solve critical business problems

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, a related field, or comparable work experience
• 3+ years experience in Programming fundamentals, Test Driven Development and Design principles
• 3+ years experience with JavaScript. Additional preference with modern libraries and frameworks (React preferred).
• Proven experience with web tooling like Webpack, Jest, NPM, Typescript, etc.
• Experience working with asynchronous requests in large scale applications
• Experience working with and developing RESTful APIs
• Track record of anticipating technical problems that will fall out of major projects and designing solutions to overcome those problems
• Experience with modern web development across the entire spectrum of development, testing, staging, deploying, and monitoring
• A curious mind that is driven to innovate and solve customer problems
