Procore is seeking a Senior UX Researcher to join our Product Insights team. In this pivotal role, you will conduct comprehensive user research to uncover and solve the real issues challenging productivity and impeding innovation in the construction space. Your research will enhance our user experiences and create valuable outcomes for the business. As an adept user researcher, you will lead impactful studies while collaborating seamlessly across various business domains. With your strong leadership skills, you will leverage diverse customer feedback channels and data points to shape and execute research studies within designated business domains. Your seasoned expertise will enable you to deploy innovative research methodologies, adeptly navigating complex problems with confidence.
Reporting to our Director of User Research, you will be an integral part of our Product Insights Team. Working alongside fellow User Researchers, Subject Matter Experts, and Product Data Analysts, you will apply advanced research techniques and strategic thinking to drive collaborative efforts across customer-facing departments. You’ll engage in projects that span the various phases of construction. You’ll work alongside Designers, PMs, and Engineers. You’ll visit job sites and see first hand the complexities of what goes into a project. Your ability to forge strong partnerships and advocate for the inclusion of end user insights will be instrumental in delivering exceptional experiences that resonate with our customers. Additionally, as the Senior User Researcher you will be responsible for assessing and balancing the effort required against the urgency and importance of research needs, determining whether longer-term, in-depth research efforts or shorter-term, more focused studies are the most effective approach for a particular initiative.

Responsibilities
Work directly with Product Managers, Designers, Subject Matter Experts, and Product Analysts to target areas needing deeper research
Execute diverse and thorough user research using exploratory, generative, and evaluative methods
Manage user research initiatives throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initial exploration to post-launch evaluations
Foster collaborative relationships with other customer insights teams to deepen research insights and facilitate comprehensive persona and customer journey analyses
Collaborate with and influence stakeholders focused on outcomes, by creatively disseminating customer insights to foster greater empathy across the organization
Participate in customer events, job site visits, and facilitate insights sessions to deepen understanding of user needs
Provide guidance and encouragement for customer-facing teams to adopt and excel in research best practices, enhancing customer interactions
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of experience in conducting and coaching user research
Mastery toolkit of research methods, such as contextual inquiries, RITE testing, participatory design sessions, interviews, formative and summative usability studies, and experience with quantitative methods, such as surveys and data analytics
Keen ability to discern when to apply rigorous versus lean methodologies
Familiarity with common research tools/software (e.g., Qualtrics, UserTesting)
Demonstrated experience in conducting research within iterative design cycles, product development frameworks, and rolling research cadences
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders
Experience in B2B enterprise software industry knowledge preferred
Proven ability to apply qualitative and quantitative methods to inform product strategy and development
Experience collaborating with diverse team members and partners, including designers, product managers, and software developers
Proficiency in a fast-paced Agile environment
Experience distilling complex ideas into clear, actionable insights for extended team members
Experience in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry is advantageous

Additional Information
Base Pay Range $134,800 - $185,350. Eligible for Equity Compensation. Procore is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation, and has provided an estimated pay range for this role. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate’s job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location.
