We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Security Engineering to join Procore’s Security Engineering team. In this role, you’ll build, lead, and scale our a newly formed extension of our security engineering team in India. Your primary goal is to establish a center of excellence that will design and build the foundational security controls protecting our platform, data, and users.

As a Senior Manager, Security Engineering, you’ll partner with Product & Technology, Engineering, IT, and GRC to lead your team in embedding security into every stage of the development lifecycle. Use your strong leadership, deep technical security expertise, and strategic planning skills to build a world-class team and deliver on our core security roadmap. This position reports into the Senior Director, Security Engineering and will be based in our Bengaluru, India office. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately.

What you’ll do:

  • Hire, mentor, and lead a high-performing, "builder" focused team of security engineers responsible for our core security mission.

  • Set the technical and strategic direction for the India-based team, aligning with the global security roadmap.

  • Manage the team's delivery of critical projects, including attack surface management pipelines, IAM guardrails, data protection services, and IaC security.

  • Foster a strong engineering culture of automation, secure-by-default design, and shipping solutions as code.

  • Act as the primary stakeholder and liaison for security engineering in India, partnering with local engineering and product leadership.

  • Develop and manage the team's operational and project roadmaps, removing roadblocks and managing stakeholder expectations across time zones.

  • Partner with Product & Technology teams to build paved paths and drive adoption to increase we are secure by default.

  • Partner with GRC and Internal Audit to provide authoritative context on security controls and ensure engineering alignment with compliance.Develop the careers of your engineers, providing technical guidance, continuous feedback, and performance management.

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

  • 8+ years of experience in a technical security role, with at least 3 years in a people leadership.

  • Proven experience building and scaling a technical engineering team, ideally in a new or growing site.

  • Strong technical foundation across multiple security domains, including attack surface management, IAM, data protection, and infrastructure/cloud security.

  • Deep, hands-on experience with cloud security (AWS preferred), IaC (Terraform), and containerization (Kubernetes).

  • A "builder" mindset with a track record of delivering automated security solutions as code (Ruby, Python, Go, or similar).

  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with experience working in a globally distributed team.

  • A strategic mindset with the ability to translate high-level business goals into concrete technical roadmaps and deliverables.
