Senior Data Engineer , Modeling & Analytics

We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join Procore’s Product & Technology Team. Procore software solutions aim to improve the lives of everyone in construction and the people within Product & Technology are the driving force behind our innovative, top-rated global platform. As a Senior Data Engineer with analytics and modeling experience, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop data-driven solutions, perform advanced analytics, and build predictive models to support strategic decision-making.This position will report to the Engineering Manager for the Resource Management group with the opportunity to be located in Bangalore. We’re looking for someone to join our team immediately. 

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines and ETL processes to handle large volumes of data.

• Build and optimize data models and structures to support analytical and reporting needs.

• Perform data analysis and apply statistical techniques to identify trends, patterns, and insights.

• Develop predictive models and machine learning algorithms to solve business problems and drive growth.

• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.

• Ensure data quality, accuracy, and security throughout the data lifecycle.

• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues and performance bottlenecks.

• Document processes, data definitions, and data flows to ensure clarity and consistency.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field or equivalent experience.

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer with a strong background in analytics and data modeling.

• Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).

• Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and data warehousing solutions (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery).

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala.

• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and reporting frameworks.

• Strong understanding of statistical analysis and machine learning algorithms.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and data engineering tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, dbt).
