Job Description

Levelset is looking for a Sr Digital and Media Marketing Strategist to lead and scale our paid media function, furthering our mission of improving the lives of everyone in construction.

In this position, you'll define, execute, and measure a strategy that makes paid ads our most impactful lever to hit business goals, guiding fundamental changes to how we run our business. You will improve and demonstrate the ROI of paid channels and campaigns, making it a no-brainer to invest more budget and resources. You'll explore new messaging, tactics, and channels, constantly experimenting and iterating to identify and amplify bright spots. You'll also drive ads across multiple lines of business with work streams ranging from transactional conversions to prospecting and search campaigns to ABM advertising.

The ideal candidate for this role is proactive, growth-oriented, and passionate about making an impact. We need someone who will constantly push, drive urgency, and bring proposals forward to get more out of our paid channels. We also want someone to set the strategy, build and communicate a plan to execute it, evaluate performance, and communicate results and next steps. Strong candidates have experience managing an agency and can demonstrate how they've changed business strategy and made a significant impact through paid channels. This role requires excellent communication skills to effectively ensure that key stakeholders, including marketing and sales peers to leadership and our finance team, understand the ROI and business impact of paid ads. Sr Digital and Media Marketing Strategists are experts in paid strategy and budget management and are deeply knowledgeable about paid media platforms and tactics. If you love setting the vision but live for getting your hands dirty and implementing a strategy from start to finish, this role is for you!

This role will be based remotely. We're looking for someone to join us immediately!

What you'll do:

  • Guide the business in strategizing, leveraging, and evaluating paid channels. Mature our paid strategy and tactics in alignment with evolving business needs and GTM motions
  • Own all paid media strategy and performance from vision setting and planning to budget development and optimization across multiple business units, managing and maximizing output from our paid media agency and platforms
  • Establish and maintain scalable tracking and reporting processes with our BI team and agency that tie paid campaigns and channels to KPIs such as MQLs, pipelines, customers, and revenue
  • Communicate paid campaign and channel performance loud and clear to leadership and stakeholders so that no one is in doubt about the power and efficacy of our paid media motion
  • Provide proactive campaign analysis, performance, and guidance to stakeholders with recommendations on what we should do more of - or eliminate - to maximize ROAS and exceed business goals
  • Level up our audience segmentation and targeting to consistently deliver the right message to the right people at the right time
  • Design and execute experiments across paid channels to test platforms, messaging, creative, audiences, and more
  • Collaborate with other teams such as design, demand gen, content, sales, product marketing, web, and SEO to develop world-class campaigns that directly impact business goals

What we're looking for:

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience managing paid media channels, including but not limited to paid search, display, video, social, and programmatic
  • Track record of exceeding pipeline goals in a high-growth environment with an understanding of why you were successful in addition to how you did it
  • 3+ years of experience managing an external paid media agency
  • Experience joining an organization with an existing paid media motion and drastically leveling up that motion, fundamentally changing how the business operates
  • Strong technical background and fanatical obsession with finding solutions
  • Excellent task management and prioritization skills and a great track record of accurately projecting and meeting timelines
  • Excellent communication skills and record of proactively reporting on paid performance to executive management
  • Experience with ad tech and MarTech solutions, including HubSpot, Marketo, Salesforce, Google Analytics, Segment, Zoominfo, Demandbase, etc.; experience with ad platforms such as Google, Facebook, Linkedin, Bing, and programmatic ad platforms
  • Experience with Demandbase is a plus; advanced experience with analytical tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau is preferred
